Spring spring spring

I've been sick all week... AGAIN... and am absolutely ready for both spring and the end of cold season.

The evidence of spring coming, right at the corner of the cottage.

It's ridiculous how much I love moss.

My cyclamen plant is looking super, though it has odd timing.

Walking on the Goose trail near Sooke Potholes.

Don't stray off the trail.

Hello 2013

It doesn't feel like months since I've posted, but apparently they have slipped past me like calendar ninjas.

I provide some elder care when needed for my grandparents and it's been very needed since the beginning of November. Had my own medical issue to deal with through December, and so since Christmas I've been hiding out in my little house being a hermit. Am apparently very good at hermit-ing! Wish it was a paid position, as I get lots of art done that way and can stay home with the dog. But enough of that, have a dump of winter photos and a few art bits.

Had a dusting of snow on the 21st, but that's been it so far.

Summer's End & Puppies

I was out at Patti's with Bean yesterday and we got to play with her puppies, Zoey and Vinnie who are the cutest curly-haired mops ever.
Portrait wrangling is a challenge with two puppies and a Bean.

Still life

Patti inspired Barb and I to try our hands at still life photos. I used my phone and Instagram to get this one. :)

After a not-great day: art to the rescue

I drew a doodle of my prancing Bean and carved it into a stamp a few days ago. Then I used the stamped image to make a stencil, and unleashed both stamp and stencil on my journal this afternoon after I got home from some un-fun familial duties.

Full spread in my medium sized hemp journal with the carved stamp above
